Kelsey Thomas, LLMSW

I earned my bachelor's degree in Social Work from Ferris State University, and my master's degree in Social Work from Wayne State University, with a certification in School Social Work. I have worked in public health, mental health, and residential care.  I am currently employed as a full-time School Social Worker.

In my years of experience, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults who struggle with various challenges, such as trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, family conflict, adjustment issues, and more. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotional regulation and management, meditation and breath work, and solution-focused therapy to help my clients identify their needs, explore their options, and discover their strengths.

I believe therapy is a collaborative and supportive process, where you and I work together to achieve your goals and potential. I offer a person-centered approach that respects your individuality and preferences.

“Have patience with yourself. Things take time, bad days happen and we are all just trying to navigate this thing called life.”
